This Help file is a general reference for using Map Editor for Halo® 2 on Windows Vista™. It covers the tools by providing editing information, tutorials, and examples related to multiplayer level design.

This file is provided to encourage individuals who are new to editing games and creating game content, as well as for individuals who are experienced map editors.

All individuals should familiarize themselves with some of the basic 3D modeling tools and techniques used and discussed in this file. Familiarization with 3D arbitrary modeling tools such as 3ds Max is recommended as well as with 2D art programs such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

This documentation only scratches the surface of what is possible with the Halo 2 Map Editor. We encourage you to actively participate in the Halo 2 editing community and share your discoveries with others online.
